    I-COLLEGE – “MAKING LIFE-LONG LEARNING A CULTURE TOGETHER”

    INTRODUCTION

    The proposal to run the Ikrab College programme is to provide easy access to the public for getting and sharing knowledge from training and short courses. It is hoped that with this programme, Gerik Community College can utilise all the facilities available in Gerik Community College for the benefit of the students and local community.

    RATIONALE

    Aimed to give the local community easy access to the facilities and services provided by the college and simultaneously having collaboration between the college and the industry for the latest knowledge sharing that can benefit both parties, that is the community college students and all levels of the local community.

    OBJECTIVES

    • To provide easy access to the local community for all activities , course and benefits available at Gerik Community College.
    • Practising the skills and knowledge from the training like upskilling and reskilling.
    • The community is aware of the current courses run at Gerik Community College.
    • To have a good relationship between the college and the industry to provide easy access for the students to get job training in the industry.

    STRONG POINTS

    • Short courses consultancy service
    • Courses offered are at minimum fees
    • To utilise all facilities available at the college at the minimum fees from reservation that is on the ‘first come first served’ basis.
    • Members will get the information regarding college activities via virtual pamphlets.
    • Members will be given priority to join the programmes run by the college.
